The note for the Funeral Director
The family have the opportunity to write a message to you via a field ‘Note for Funeral Director’ at the bottom of their view.
These notes will display in the Family Portal section of FreeDAM for you.
You can not change this note or message the family back
The reason for this is that it is assumed that the funeral arrangements have not yet taken place and that you will be seeing the family in person very soon.
Also – there is no guarantee that if you typed anything back to the family that they would actually see it. They might have typed a message and logged off.
We must not mistake the Family Portal to be a direct and constant connection to the family – rather a tool to assist both parties with the collection of data.
