Invoice Reminders
This holds true for an ‘Invoice’ or ‘Estimate’ and these terms in the text are interchangeable .
Invoice reminders are a list of items associated with a case that may trigger a charge to be put on the invoice.
They appear as a icon of a bell that will have a count of the reminders on it.
The reminders icon appears on the following invoice sections…
- Professional Fee
- Additional Services
- Casket
- Urn
- Merchandise
- Disbursements
If you click the icon you will get a list appear
Why cant I add reminders to the invoice by clicking on them.
There are several reason for this…
Timing
Cases in FreeDAM are constantly being edited and changed.
A reminder that is added to an estimate/invoice could change its value as the arrangements progress. This would cause issues with the reminder already added etc etc
Sales Codings
Every funeral home is different and has different ways of measuring sales.
Each line on the invoice MUST have a sales code.
A user adding a reminder from the list would have to chose the correct sales code and simply may not have the care or understanding to get this right.

FreeDAM would have to have settings that the company would have to set.
The settings required in FreeDAM to make this work seamlessly would be complicated and extensive and very hard to understand.
Wording
Every funeral home has different preferred wording for their invoices.
